Wavy Since Morning.

Everybody gets their turn.

There is a Japanese proverb that says:

“Play when nobody listen. Draw when nobody see. Write stories nobody read. Internal fulfilment will give you joy. If you achieve this, you Master. Right here, Right now.”

Let me tell a story of a man who practises golfing daily. It is his peculiar habit. He enjoys the sport.

He tries different swings, making sure his body turns right when he hits the ball, observing when he is a little off the mark and how firmly he plants his foot on the floor.

The man, one day, is invited to play with friends who are elite golf men.

To their shock, he outclasses the pros every step of the way, and not just by being better but unique, outstanding even in their expert eyes.

A man trains in solace but, when revealed, is found to be spectacular.

This is why I recall the lyrics of Burna’s song today, Big 7. He sings:

‘If you see me tonight, you can clearly see that I've been wavy since mornin’.

And this should be your takeaway.

I know you may be grinding daily, working hard towards a goal nobody sees but you.

Remember, even though no one can tell how hard you work, your time will eventually come.

Keep putting those extra shifts in to ensure your craft stands out.

Work on being the best in your eyes.

When your time comes, the nearest behind you will seem like dust.

On another note, I want to announce with joy that the deal we’ve been waiting for has finally crossed the line.

I will not tell you the exhaustive toll it took on my body, my mind, my physical well-being.

But I will tell you how glad I am today that we have our big 6.

These six shortlisted writers would work together towards a short story anthology.

There’s a lot to unpack here.

For one, The AprilCentaur Network is here to stay.

Not just in the sense of existing today and dying tomorrow.

But in the sense of a consistent element, a constant light shining on creatives who are still yet unacknowledged, who are working behind the scenes and have been wavy since morning.

We are committed to growth not just of our company but of those we come in contact with.

And God willing, you will see it through the years.

The second thing to consider is that as far as you are doing great work. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for you.

You are being watched not with the all-seeing eyes or through your laptop screens but with a vision that sees your efforts when you put them out there despite worry that they may flop.

In truth, nothing that speaks of pure heart can flop. And that’s the attitude you should take towards generating new art.

Now, that is enough talk.

Join us to celebrate our recognised hard workers.

Watch out for their story.

As I endeavour to share empathy with the world. I want you to also think of ways you could do the same.

Any great story starts with a spark, but every fire that burns needs fuel to rise.

To keep the domino effect, you must find ways to also impart love.

“It is not necessary enough that you should win. Others should win with you too.”
